Mandatory equipment (Pflicht Motorrad Ausrüstung)

Good morning,

first, let me apologize for writing in English on this forum. My German is terrible.
I am an Italian biker and in July I will be travelling with friends to the Grossglocker glacier. We are really looking forward to that and we are trying to make sure we comply with all the required regulations (I know... even Italians are not what they used to be).

Reading tourist information websites, it seems that there are several mandatory items to carry on a motorbike, but the info are somewhat confusing and contradict each other. That is why I thought to ask to this forum.
For now, it seems established that we will need:

-an emergency medical kit
-a high visibility vest

Some websites also claim that the emergency triangle is mandatory for motorbikes.

So my questions are:

-is the triangle mandatory?
-what is the minimum requirement for the med kit? Can we have one to share or each one need its own?

Hi Paolo,
I think my English is as bad as your German ...
First of all: congratulation!!! You have choosen a wonderful destination. Großglockner is really wonderful.
In Austria you don't need a high visibility vest, but a lot of bikers wear them because of better to be seen of other traffic participants.
The only Thing you have to be with you (each biker, not one for a group is a first aid box.
Triangle is only a must in Turkey: there you have to have 2(!!!!) of them...i don't know why.
So: I hope i could answer your questions, and you are right: you really can look forward to this trip

I think the traffic is a little bit different in Turkey than in Austria, cause here in Austria we need only one, also for cars, isn't it ?
